Defining Placements

Some students might need to be placed in a special placement program during their enrollment in your school's or district's special education program. These programs may be inside the school or out of the school.

Depending on your special education program and the student's IEP Individualized Education Program, you might need to do the following:

• Define the list of placement programs that special education students might be enrolled in. If a student is placed in a program inside the school, you assign the placement while you complete the initial referral workflow a method of coordinating multi-step processes involving one or more users.
• Define several placements within a single IEP.
• View placements and their details from the IEP's details.

To define placement programs:

1. Log on to the Special Education view.
2. Click the Admin tab.
3. Click the Placement Programs side-tab.
4. On the Options menu, click Add. The New IEP Placement Program page appears.
5. Type the name and address information for the program in the appropriate fields.
6. Click Save.
